Tours and aquarium viewing available by appointment only* Monday-Friday depending on staff and Visitor Center availability.

We will be closed on the following holidays in the off season: Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following, Christmas Day, New Years Day, MLK Day, and Presidents Day.

*From October through April, call (907)463-4810 to make an appointment. We need 24 hours notice to confirm a tour in the off season.*

Admission Rates:

Standard Admissions

Adult $5.00 l Child $3.00 (12 and under)

Includes an optional 10-15 minute informational presentation and unlimited time of independent exploration of visitor center exhibits, aquariums and gift shop. Allow at least 45 minutes.

Summer daily presentation times:
Every half hour starting at 10:30am... Last commentary begins 1/2 hour before closing time

Extended Hatchery Tour (Late June - Early August Only)


Adult $15.00 l Child $10.00 

Get a behind the scenes look at our hatchery operations with a tour lasting 35-45 minutes. Tour destinations vary depending on the hatchery activities occurring at the time you visit. Following the tour, enjoy unlimited time for exploring exhibits, aquarium viewing, and browsing the salmon shop in the visitor center. This tour option may be cut if we do not have enough staff. We plan to offer tours every day from June 20th-August 9th, but we occasionally cannot accommodate. We do not book tours in advance.

10:15, 11:15, 1:15, 2:15, 3:15

Individual Pass $15

Family Pass $30 (allows admissions for you and up to 7 additional people throughout the summer months)


August 10th has been declared Alaska Wild Salmon Day by Governor Bill Walker. Locals, come celebrate with us by receiving free admissions into our visitor center (must have valid Alaska ID for free admissions). This free admissions includes a guided commentary  from one of DIPAC's managers that will be offered every hour on the hour from 10:00am-4:00pm.
