AQUARIUMS

Our saltwater aquariums feature over 150 different species of local marine life. One of our main attractions is our large 5,000 gallon tank.  Visitor’s get an up close view of adult salmon, multitudes of crab species, various sea stars and other amazing Juneau sea life.  We also have 13 smaller 50-100 gallon saltwater aquariums where other unique marine life reside.

Touch Tanks

Ever wanted to hold a sea star in your hand? What does a sea cucumber feel like? Exploring our touch tanks gives you the once in a life time opportunity to interact with these amazing inter tidal zone animals. A local guide will be available to assist you and answer any questions you may have.

Our Wolf Eel: Eelvis
Wolf eels live in the Northern Pacific
Ocean. They make their homes on
rocky reefs and reside in a crevice,
den or lair in the rocks.
Wolf eels enjoy munching on
Crustaceans, sea urchins, clams and
Mussels; crushing them with their
Strong jaws.
It can grow up to 80” in length and
Weigh up to 41 pounds.
An interesting fact about wolf eels is
That they are not in the eel family at
All; being as they have pectoral fins.
They are considered a fish in the
Anarhichadidae family.
